Recorded live with matched pair of Rode NT2A microphones the guitar's pickup routed through a pedal board into Henriksen Bud amp, and that into Focusrite Claret 4Pre, into OBS for live-streaming.

I’ve grown to love certain filter sounds too after using a Hungry Robot Wardenclyffe for the past year.

The reverb sounds massive and the delays are interesting. I'm also using at Boss Rhythm Partner DR01s for the rhythm track, but there are no prerecorded tracks. 16 presets, all with the sort of effects I’ve been after for a while. I have an article on effects pedals for classical and acoustic guitar coming out in the next issue of "Acoustic Guitar" magazine. I've been experimenting with guitar effects pedals on classical guitar, normally associated with electric. Other pedals here include the Gurus Optivalve MKII LR Baggs Align EQ Dawner Prince Boonar Delay and the Walrus Audio R-1 High Fidelity Stereo Reverb (in mono). I'm using a Hologram Electronics Microcosm pedal in this song (on the "Warp 3" preset). There is also an improvisation in the piece. Placing reverb pedals before distortion, or starting your signal chain with a delay pedal may seem counter-intuitive, but this kind of experimentation may just lead you to discover the signature guitar tone that defines your sound. The Brazilian-flavored composition uses "artificial harmonics" throughout the piece, inspired by Agustin Barrios Mangore's piece "El sueno de la Munequita" (The sleep of the Little Doll). "Nana da Lua" (Lullaby for the Moon) is an original composition an excerpt from my live-stream concert yesterday.
#Microcosm reverb mod#
Sometimes even just pattern delay, and yes it does a nice digital delay, reverse delay, filter delay, multitap, mod delay ETC. I even love "looper only" with mod+verb on, is a default place on my board until i decide to use an actual algorhythmic one. So far havent found anything ive wanted after. It sometimes works, sometimes doesnt lol.īut i cant imagine what i would put AFTER this pedal.

Nonetheless, love "arps" with ridiculous dense sounds, like reverb on full everything, but it sequences and cuts it.
#Microcosm reverb how to#
Maybe i just learnt how to "play into it". I also started hooking up my last pedals in stereo, even when a mono output. I think partly i started using an always-on boost first in chain. You can tweak the sound further using Microcosm’s built-in pitch modulation, stereo reverb (with 4 selectable modes) and resonant lowpass filter. The effects let you slice, stretch, rearrange, and manipulate your audio in a variety of ways. Id love some kind of trigger button though, such as if you fed it a sustained sound but it still could trigger. The Microcosm offers 11 different effects and a looper that can capture up to 60 seconds of stereo audio. But youre right, this pedal is more about getting controlled by it. Or go the other way and blow everything into space wirh filter down. I tried it for a while, but ultimately i am not sure if imagining the whole thing. Bypass switch is right in the middle -) ir turn the mix down. Then feed it.well anything like a full wet 10s reverb, or loop pads.

Hear how this awesome granular, looping, delay. Idea was just send it a dry signal that it may trigger from. Every single preset on the Hologram Microcosm pedal, featuring simple sequences from the Arturia Microfreak.
